Product Description

Henry Laboucan and our team collaborated to create a teaching tool and living document that shares teachings passed on by Laboucan's Elders and relatives to him, so that they may live on in the hearts of the coming faces (next generations).

The calendar was created in amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton), Treaty 6 Territory. Henry Laboucan is a Bush Cree man from Lubicon Lake in Treaty 8 Territory, and a residential school survivor.

The Stories from the Bush calendar features Bush Cree words and colorful contemporary photographs that help weave together visuals and text to illustrate full page stories.

The calendar includes an introduction, protocol page and glossary, timeline, and  educational stories and beautiful imagery for every month.
